Keep Well Monthly

1 minute, 38 seconds Read

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you’ve been keeping well.

It’s been good to see everyone staying consistent over the past few weeks – it really does make a difference.

What we’ve been working on
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been focusing on building consistency across all sessions. Alongside the usual circuit work, I’ve introduced some ball exercises to help improve coordination, timing and balance. It’s been great to see how everyone has adapted.

A simple health insight
Progress doesn’t usually come from doing something completely new – it often comes from doing the same things just a little better, or a little more consistently.

Movement focus
Next month, I’ll be building on what we’ve started.

In the circuit sessions (11:00–12:00 Fitness Class – Circuit Training), I’ll be adding one extra exercise and increasing the repetitions to 11 per set, for two sets, instead of 10. The aim is steady progression, not rushing.

In the chair-based sessions (13:00–15:00 Sit to Stand – Chair-Based Session), we’ve been working on rhythm and continuity of movement – helping everything flow a bit more smoothly. Next month, I’ll gently increase the repetitions to 12 per exercise and include some soft ball catching and passing to support coordination.

Different sessions, but the same goal – improving strength, control and confidence.

Nutrition thought
As the warmer weather arrives and activity levels increase, it’s worth making sure you’re eating enough to support your energy. A simple approach is to include a source of protein in at least one or two meals each day.

Community note
It’s been really encouraging to see the progress and consistency across both the circuit sessions and chair-based groups. Well done everyone – keep up the good work.
